Jeff Peterson had Rich teach his folks the 2-day course last year and had 100% pass rate. Jeff says: Rich is a top-notch instructor with industry leading credentials. In addition to holding the CSIA Master Chimney Sweep credential he is a Master Pipe Fitter, Boiler technician and holds a Massa chutes Hearth Appliance Burner License. He is one of the original founder of the Rhode Island Chimney Guild and served as the organization’s Technical Director. Rich has a wonderful sense of humor and believes learning should be fun and stimulating. How Much: $249 for the first registrant, $199 for each additional registrant from the same company, and $99 per person for the optional day.
What: The Masonry Repair for Chimney Professionals is an intensive class combining a short period of classroom theory followed by hands-on projects relating to the theory lessons. There will be ample one-on-one time with the instructors to allow everyone to proceed as their progress allows. Work stations will be situated to allow all students to continually participate in all aspects of the hands-on lessons. The objective of this class is to teach students how to lay brick and be able to repair existing work. This will be accomplished by providing ample opportunities for you to practice and to ask questions.
